This 1984 Porsche 928S is finished in Ruby Red Metallic over a Gray Beige leather interior. Delivered new in Massachusetts, the car has spent time in California, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kentucky, where it has been owned by the seller for the past 2 years. Powered by a 4.7-liter V8, power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The 928S is now offered with service records, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
Finished in Ruby Red Metallic (L810/X7), the seller notes a repaint having been performed by the previous owner. An S4 rear spoiler is fitted to the backside of the car, as shown in the gallery. Other notable exterior features include integrated foglamps and a rear wiper.
16” factory wheels are equipped with General G-Max tires measuring 225/60-16 all around. The wheels were originally finished in silver from the factory, they were chrome-plated by a previous owner prior to the current owner's acquisition.
The interior is trimmed in Gray Beige leather with matching carpets and door panels. Designed in a 2+2 seating setup with capacity for four passengers, deep bucket leather seats are shown in the gallery. Other notable features of the interior include air-conditioning, cruise control, and a power driver’s seat. An aftermarket stereo head unit is also featured.
Instrumentation features a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and ancillary gauges for temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and battery voltage. The analog odometer shows 85,795 miles. CARFAX shows a possible mileage inconsistency on 8/28/2000 at a California Inspection Station but states it may be a clerical error based on the mileage history.
Under the hood, the 4.7-liter V8 engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller notes a rattle in first gear. Rated at 234 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new, the engine was Porsche’s first production V8; it is also its only coupe that is powered by a front-mounted V8 engine with power sent to the rear wheels. The seller does note difficulty in getting the rear right wheel aligned properly.
Underbody and under hood photos are shown in the gallery. The August 2020 CARFAX shows no accident or damage through its most recent entry in August 2020. This 928S is now offered for sale on a clean Kentucky title in the sellers name
@Browninm – Does Seller have any more information about the cause of that rattle in first gear? Does it affect driveability? ...
The seller states that information he found indicates the reverse gear idler may be coming in contact with first gear, causing the rattle and it does not affect driveability.

Still one of the absolute best "GT's" ever produced. Love these.
