@Gmontoya9 Autohunter got Esprit from the VIN, 2 designates Pontiac, T designates the Esprit model, the car is not a Trans Am, if it was the second character on the VIN would be W. Someone, along the ownership chain got the DMV to change it to Trans Am. Decoding the VIN doesn't lie. The Esprit had sub models Skybird, Redbird, & Special Edition that were offered in Sky Blue, Red, & Yellow respectively. The Trim Tag should read ST 78 for the model year, 2 for Pontiac, FT87 for Esprit Series, then N for Norwood Assembly Plant. The Esprit has some options offered on the Trans Am. I hope this helps.
