Vehicle Story

This 1934 Ford 3-Window coupe was built by the seller in 1993 and has been driven 200 - 300 miles per year since while not in garage storage. The pro-street inspired build is powered by a supercharged, nitrous-ready 350ci small block Chevrolet and shifted by way of TH-400 automatic transmission. Equipped with drag racing suspension on the rear, a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear axle, custom independent front suspension, and more, the car is also fitted with safety features including a full roll cage and harness and creature comforts such as a stereo system and power brakes. Located in Mayville, New York, this 1934 Ford hot rod is offered for sale with a clean "1993 Custom" New York title in the seller's name.

Finished in bright yellow with red accents on the sides, the body is constructed from fiberglass with a chopped-style roof, tubbed rear wheel wells, and a hood delete. Suicide doors are fitted with chrome handles to match a set of chrome front and rear bumpers.

Polished 15" dished mag wheels are installed front and rear with Mickey Thompson 32" x 17.5" street slicks and "pie cutters" on the front. Handling is managed by power braking, manual steering, Mustang II independent front suspension, and a four-linked rear end with QA-1 coil-overs.

The interior is fitted with a full roll cage wrapped in yellow padding as well a 5-point harness over bucket seats wrapped in black vinyl upholstery to match the headliner and door panels.

Dash panels are finished in body-matching yellow and home to a custom stereo receiver as well as a billet trim panel for the gauge cluster. Instrumentation includes digital gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and speed as well as an analog dash-mounted 10k RPM Autometer racing tachometer and two other dials located on the cowl just outside of the windshield.

Power delivery is managed by a custom-built 355ci small-block V8 bolted to a TH-400 automatic transmission and complete with dual Mighty Demon 750cfm carburetors, B&M valve covers, and 'Powercharger 250' blower as well as a NOS system set up for a 175hp shot of nitrous. Engine internals consist of a balanced 4-bolt main 350ci block with a .030" over bore, Eagle forged crankshaft and forged H-beam rods, .020" Main bearings with .020" thrust, TRW Speed Pro forged aluminum blower pistons, hydraulic COMP Nitrous HP cam, 2:02/1.60 head and valves, and Harland Sharp Aluminum 1.5 ratio roller lifters.

A custom narrowed Ford 9" rear end can be found underneath fitted with 4.33:1 gearing and a 4-link suspension system with QA-1 coil-overs. Dual exhaust is routed through mufflers to exits on either side of the car just before the rear tires. Additional photos of the underside and the rest of this 1934 Ford 3-window coupe are located in the gallery.
