@DannnyInNJ – The import duties to bring this into the U.S. seem a convoluted mess. There's a 2.5% plus MAYBE a 25% tariff but the law contradicts itself in places. Do you have any insight? BTW I understand the 5.3, those motors are everywhere but that eco mode isn't fun ...

When I google it says that cars over 25 years and built in canada are exempt from the 25% tarif , It was built in canada cause I have the papers for that. Thats all I know maybe call US customs and ask they must have someone to tell you that info. Also this engine does not have Active Fuel Management, or dynamic fuel management . That didn't start till 2005, this is a 2002. Plus it gets great fuel milage better than the org six. Great car for cruising , will be even better with the 3:55s.

@trucks – Hi mark and thanx for the reply...basically the fuel management system on the 5.3 adjust power to certain cylinders depending on the load. To save fuel.. was not a good idea by chev... it can be eliminated....have to ask why did you choose the 5.3... i would have gone with a 396.... with a 4 spd Muncie ...

@Markkm – I don't know what to mean by dynamic fuel management. It has the original fuel injection from 2002 GMC with new injectors and run from the original GM computer. Has 2 upper gm 02 sensors. There's no rusty parts It was all done on Rotisserie and all rusted parts were replaced. All electrical works as it should. I'm not sure how you could repair the speedo because it was originally cable driven and the 4L60E is electronic. All the seals for the roof and the windows are new. The windows work as they should. I have owned the car since 2017. I started a full rotisserie that winter and finished it in May of 2021. I'm just selling it because I want to move on to something else. Mark ...
