This 1965 Lincoln Continental four-door convertible has undergone a refinish of its exterior and interior surfaces and features a power-operated retractable top, dual custom center consoles, and Coker whitewalls. According to Lincoln production data, this example was one of 3,356 produced for its model year and left the Wixom, Michigan factory powered by a big-block 430ci V8 mated to a dual-range 3-speed automatic transmission. With only 2 owners from new, the car was sold first in California, and this Continental’s finishes are reported to be glossy, straight, and of show-quality throughout. Finished in Spanish Moss Metallic over a reupholstered light grey leather interior, this fourth-generation Continental is now offered with service records and with a clear California title in the seller’s name.
When the fourth-generation Continental launched for the model year 1961, it rode on a stretched version of the Ford Thunderbird chassis and was initially only available as a four-door sedan or convertible. A fresh coat of paint was applied in the car’s original shade of Spanish Moss Metallic (R) in 2020 and the exterior brightwork was replaced or refinished at the same time. A replacement power-operated black top was fitted, and associated mechanical hardware has been reviewed for optimal operation. The photo carousel shows imaging of the rear decklid in operation.
Billet 15” polished aluminum wheels are wrapped in Coker whitewall tires. Four-wheel drum brakes and power steering provide stopping and handling assistance.
Reupholstered light grey leather benches provide seating for all occupants with matching leather and vinyl door panels, contrasted by black carpeting with embroidered Lincoln-branded floor mats. The dash and overall cabin are accented in chrome and wood trim throughout, and power convenience options include a power-adjustable front seat, an analog clock, and a factory radio with a power-operated antenna. Additionally, a custom floor-mounted center console up front contains two cup holders and a modern touch-screen audio head unit that is connected to nine aftermarket speakers throughout the cabin, while a similar second console resides in the center rear. The front passenger power window is currently disabled.
Instrumentation displays a 120-mph speedometer and accompanying gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 91k miles which the seller states is actual, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 430ci V8 is fed by a four-barrel carburetor and reportedly exemplifies good mechanical condition, having been factory rated at 320 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a dual-range 3-speed automatic transmission and a 3.25:1 rear axle. The seller states the drivetrain has been gone through extensively by a professional mechanic, addressing any issues that would potentially affect driveability and reliability.
The sale includes service records.

As the passenger window was working intermittently before it was disabled will that be fixed prior to sale? The convertible top doesn’t work properly unless the window is working.
Awesome car...watching it actively. The choice for the song in the video is in poor taste. The person who buys this car would NEVER listen to that garbage. May I suggest a little "Frank" instead?
