This 1953 Chevrolet 210 Deluxe club coupe has been with the seller for 15 years and has been restored with originality in mind making it a magazine feature for "Cars & Parts" in 2008, "Standard Catalog of 1950's Chevrolet" and "Route 66" as well as an award winner at multiple local car shows. Power is delivered by the rebuilt original drivetrain featuring a 235ci inline-six paired with a Powerglide automatic transmission while equipment includes a custom retro stereo system, dual exhaust, keyless entry with alarm, and power locks. Located in Apple Valley, California, a clean title in the seller's name is offered with the sale.
The exterior is finished in a two-tone older respray of its original Campus Cream (CC: 507) color covering the body and Saddle Brown (CC: 24155) on the roof with chromed bumpers, grille, and trim pieces. The car was originally purchased in Arizona and has been garage kept in California since with approximately 9,000 miles of driving experience over the past 15 years. The seller reports the condition of the paintwork and chrome to be in, "good shape."
Standard wheels are equipped in body matching color and capped in bowtie branded chrome with a set of wide whitewall tires fitted. Four-wheel drum braking and steering systems are both manual as the car came from the factory.
The interior and trunk were refinished professionally a couple of years ago to match the two-tone theme of the exterior and appear to remain in excellent condition with no notable signs of wear and tear. A custom sound system with retro aftermarket AM/FM radio including auxiliary input, USB, and a 10-disc CD player was fitted during the process along with an Audiovox alarm system, keyless entry, and power locks.
Instrumentation consists of a 110-MPH speedometer, clock, and two non-functional horizontally opposed multi-gauges in between. An aftermarket 3-gauge cluster has been installed under the steering column with dials reading oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage. Mileage on the odometer shows 26,750 and is noted to be incorrect as the original odometer was replaced by a new unit at 64,202 miles. The seller reports actual mileage to be closer to 73,000.
The engine compartment is home to the original 235ci inline-six and 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. A complete rebuild of the engine including all new bottom end internals, valvetrain, oil pump, water pump, spark plugs, wires, and more was completed in 2020 and has been driven approximately 1,500 miles since while the transmission was refreshed in around 2008 and reported to run and drive without issue.
A dual exhaust system was installed underneath during the engine overhaul last year and appears to remain in good condition.
