This 1962 Chevrolet Impala is a custom two-door hardtop that harnesses power from a big-block 496ci V8 paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Among the enhancements made to the drivetrain as part of this build are aluminum heads, a cross-ram intake, and a hydraulic roller camshaft. The restored cabin offers a Hurst shifter and Ididit steering column, and more upgrades. Finished in Torch Red over a reupholstered red vinyl and cloth interior, this fifth-generation Impala is now offered with a clear Colorado title in the seller’s name.
This Impala got new sheet metal, stretching overall length and incorporating three-part taillamps to a more squared-off rear end. This two-door hardtop example was the recipient of a frame-off restoration and wears Torch Red paint with an elevated hood, quad headlamps, and bumpers that have been refinished in satin black. Brightwork consists of the grille, window surrounds, and handles. Polished dual exhaust outlets exit below the rear bumper.
Billet Specialties 20” five-spoke wheels with polished lips are wrapped in Nitto tires. Braking is handled by discs at all four corners, and the suspension has been lowered with coilovers.
The interior is trimmed in all-red with reupholstered vinyl and cloth combination bucket seats, a painted dash, and custom Bel Air-branded floor mats. Add-ons include a Hurst shift lever and an Ididit tilt-adjustable steering column. The audio system has been modernized with a Bluetooth-compatible head unit, an amplifier, and a subwoofer.
Gauges from Dakota Digital were added to the aluminum trim bezel as part of the restoration, including a speedometer, a fuel gauge, and additional readouts. A replacement odometer was installed, and true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The replacement big-block 496ci V8 resides in a matte-black engine bay and features aluminum heads, a cross-ram intake, and a hydraulic roller camshaft. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and a 3.73 positraction rear end.

The sale includes extra parts.
