This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe is available for sale in Eagan, Minnesota equipped with many new and custom parts as well as recent service to the engine. Powered by a rebuilt 454ci big-block Chevrolet V8 bolted to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, the car features a refreshed interior, power steering and braking and fresh paint. The sale of this big block-powered Chevelle includes a clean Minnesota title in the seller's name.
Recently refinished in GM's Navy Blue paint, the car's exterior features its stock grille along with new chromed bumpers and trim and a fresh vinyl hardtop has been installed as well.
Chrome 5-spoke 15-inch American Racing mag wheels are fitted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's while steering and stopping power are both power assisted through front discs and rear drums. Dual exhaust exits can be found just in front of the rear axle and the fuel tank appears to be clean although the ascending unit inside is noted to be faulty as it does not reflect the correct fuel level on the interior gauge.
The interior is finished in black though with vinyl upholstery over bucket seating, dash and door panels, and black carpeting to match. A custom retro stereo and aftermarket speakers have been fitted along with a new steering wheel which is yet to be installed but included in the sale.
Instrumentation is in working condition with the exception of the horizontally opposed 120-MPH speedometer and fuel gauge. Additional gauges are aftermarket and include a steering column-mounted Bosch tachometer and two dash-mounted Summit Racing dials for oil pressure and coolant temperature. The odometer reads 73,099 miles as shown in the photo.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels by a 454ci big-block Chevrolet V8 and Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The engine is not original to the car but is said to have been rebuilt and comes adorned with long tube headers, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.
Underneath, long tube headers are connected to a dual exhaust system along with front and rear sway bars to aid in handing. Additional photos of the underside and the rest of the car throughout can be found in the gallery.

In my current experience the gears shift correctly and without fail. If anything, they are still a bit "tight" as the new system gets worked in.
@Duscha, can you confirm it drives and shifts through all gears? No synchro issues, no clutch slippage, etc?

@Duscha – Sorry to say I have nothing specific on the engine rebuild. Yes the car was purchased in March 2021 but an opportunity to purchase a Mercedes 560SL convert has presented itself and that is what my wife would prefer to have for pleasure riding. ...
Thanks for getting back to me quickly!

@Duscha, do you have any information on the motor rebuild? Also, can you disclose your reason for selling? The car seems to have been recently purchased.
