This 1991 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has covered 59,335 miles since new and comes with $7,249 in additional options including a factory-issued color-matched removable hardtop and the Preferred Equipment Group #1. This Corvette has resided in California since new, and maintenance was brought up to date in early 2021 with replacement of the spark plug wires, coolant temperature sensor, and heater hoses, with service performed on the air conditioning system, tire pressure monitoring system, and more. Power comes from an L98 5.7-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Turquoise Metallic over a black leather interior, this C4 Corvette is now offered with the hardtop, a storage stand, the original books, a build sheet, window sticker, extra keys, and a clean CARFAX report with a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The C4 Corvette launched in 1984 and was offered in Targa top or convertible configuration. This Corvette is painted Turquoise Metallic (42) and has been reportedly garaged and covered throughout ownership. The exterior features retractable halogen headlamps, fog lamps, quad polished exhaust outlets, and two available top configurations: the factory-issued black cloth retractable top, as well as a color-matched Turquoise Metallic hardtop with an accompanying stand.
Factory 17” polished aluminum wheels are mounted to 275/40-series tires, and the tire pressure monitoring system brain and sensors were replaced in 2021. The suspension is an independent front and a five-link rear with selective ride and handling for Touring, Sport, and Performance modes controlled via a dial on the center console. Handling is assisted by power steering and power four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior is fitted with dual black leather sport bucket seats with matching door panels, center console, dash, and carpeting, with Corvette-embroidered floor mats. The Preferred Equipment Group #1 adds six-way power to the driver seat as well as an upgraded stereo. A newer suede dash cover was added, the Bose amplifier was rebuilt, the front speakers were replaced, and the driver side window switches have been replaced. Amenities include power windows and door locks, automatic climate control, and cruise control.
Instrumentation includes a digital display for the speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and other vehicle vitals. The digital odometer reads 59,335 miles, which per the seller is an actual reading.
The L98 5.7-liter 350ci V8 features chromed tune-port fuel injection system and was factory rated at 245 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. Recent maintenance included service to the tire pressure monitoring system and air conditioning system in June 2021. In addition, the spark plug wires and coolant temperature sensor were replaced in February 2021, and the heater hoses were replaced in January 2021. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The factory, color-matched hardtop and a stand are included with the car.
The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record. There are open recalls dating back to October 1991 regarding the safety belt retractors. The vehicle passed a California emissions inspection in February 2021. The sale includes the factory tools, as well as documentation, original books, a window sticker, and original keys.
