This documented 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 retains its original, matching-numbers drivetrain has been owned by the selling dealer for the past 11 years. It was refinished in its factory shade of Garnett Red with white stripes and black vinyl top prior to the seller's acquisition. Powered by a 302 cubic inch V8 engine with Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, recent maintenance includes a carburetor rebuild and fluid changes. Offered by the selling dealer, this authentic Z/28 comes with the original Protect-O-Plate and offered with a clear Georgia title.
This Z/28 was refinished in its factory shade of Garnett Red with white stripes and black vinyl top prior to the seller's acquisition. Seller states no known body work was performed during the exterior refinishing. The exterior features include cowl-induction hood, Z/28 badging, and a factory rear spoiler.
The car is equipped with 15" Rallye wheels with polished trim rings and center caps. BFGoodrich white letter Radial T/A tires measure 215/65/15 on all four corners. All Z/28 models came equipped with an upgraded suspension that consisted of heavy-duty shocks and springs as well as stabilizer bars.
The interior features black bucket seats upholstered in vinyl with matching carpet and door panels. A center console is mounted between the front seats and houses the polished shifter, surrounded by wood-grain trim. The black door panels are trimed with silver piping with Camaro logos and polished hand cranks for the manual windows.
An original two spoke sits just in front of the gauge cluster which contains a 120mph speedometer and 8k tachometer with an analog clock in the center. Additional gauges are housed in the console and display information for the voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure.
The car retains its original, matching-numbers 302ci V8 engine. Rated at 290 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque from the factory, the engine utilizes forged pistons, forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, solid lifter, camshaft. The matching-numbers Muncie 4-speed transmission transfers the power to the posi-traction equipped rear axle with 3.73:1 ratio. Recent service work includes a rebuild of the carburetor and all fluids flushed.
