NO RESERVE 1.7K-mile 1999 Plymouth Prowler: 21 year ownership

This 1999 Plymouth Prowler is finished in Prowler Red Clear Coat over an Agate leather interior and black cloth convertible top, and is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 paired to a four-speed automatic transmission. Plymouth produced 3,921 Prowlers for the 1999 model year.The car was initially sold in North Carolina and has remained there for the duration of its ownership. This Prowler shows just 1,698 miles on the odometer and is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and on a clear North Carolina title in the seller’s name. 

Finished in Prowler Red Clear Coat, exterior features include an open, Indy-style front suspension, and a manually operated black cloth top with heated rear window.  Each Prowler was assembled by hand, with final assembly in Detroit, Michigan, and featured extensive use of aluminum in its construction, a first for Plymouth.

Factory chrome wheels are sized 17” for the front and 20” out back and are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GS-D tires sized 225/45 front and 295/40 rear. Independent rear suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were standard equipment on all Prowlers.

The interior features power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in Agate leather. Black floor mats with 'Prowler' logo embroidered in red are included. Other features include power windows and locks, A/C, cruise control, dual airbags, and an AM/FM cassette stereo with CD-changer. 

Instrumentation includes a central mounted color-keyed bezel featuring a 160-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for voltage, oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. A column-mounted 7k-rpm tachometer sits behind a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel with rear mounted audio controls. The digital odometer shows 1,698 miles, all of which were added by the seller during their 21-year ownership.

For the 1999 model year, the V6 engine was upgraded to an aluminum block with a single overhead cam setup and displacement of 3.5L, rated at 253 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque up 28 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque from the previous year.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed, rear-mounted automatic transmission with Autostick, a manual shifting option.
