This 1984 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country convertible has covered 93,540 miles from new and is outfitted with a limited-edition Mark Cross package which added power-operated leather seats, special digital instrumentation, and other interior appointments. Powered by a 2.6-liter inline-four paired with a 3-speed automatic transaxle, this LeBaron received a new carburetor in 2020 and comes with supporting service and ownership documentation. Finished in white with wood paneling over a brown leather interior, this second-generation LeBaron is now offered with a CARFAX report, the aforementioned documentation, and a clear Missouri title in the seller’s name.
Beginning in 1982, the front-wheel-drive LeBaron rode on the Chrysler K platform and was available in sedan, station wagon, or convertible form. This example from 1984 came in convertible form and is painted white, complemented by faux woodgrain trim around the exterior. Design cues are taken from a chrome grille, color-matched bumper guards, ribbed taillamps, trunk luggage rack, and a replacement power-operated convertible top with a tan leather boot. The seller notes that a dent was fixed on the passenger door and the replacement woodgrain-look sticker has not yet been applied to that area.
Factory 14” steel wheels wear wire covers and are wrapped in whitewall tires.
The interior came factory-equipped with a Mark Cross package which added unique brown leather upholstery along with matching materials for the door panels, center console, dash, and carpeting. According to the seller, the driver seat demonstrates some moderate wear but other materials are described as being in good original shape. Woodgrain trim is found throughout the interior, and additional amenities include power windows, power door locks, cruise control, and a factory AM/FM/cassette radio.
Instrumentation is comprised of a rectangular cluster of gauges with a digital speedometer, a Message Center, and gauges illustrating oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 93,540 miles, which the seller states is an accurate reading.
The carbureted, naturally-aspirated 2.6-liter inline-four had a factory rating of 101 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque when new. The carburetor was replaced in May 2020, and the removed unit is included with the sale. Power is directed to the front wheels via a column-shifted 3-speed automatic transaxle.
Additional undercarriage photos can be found in the gallery.
The sale includes the tan convertible boot and records.
