This 1999 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible has been with the seller since 2019 and shows 10,500 original miles. A factory-rated 320 horsepower is delivered to the rear wheels by the original 5.7L LS1 V-8 paired with a T-56 6-speed manual transmission which was last serviced at the 9,000-mile mark. Only 802 SS convertibles were produced in 1999 and this example comes equipped with power seats, locks, steering and braking systems as well as a leather interior and more. Located in South Chesterfield, Virginia, this 1999 Camaro SS is offered for sale with a clean Virginia title in the seller's name.
The exterior finish is Flame/Bright Red (CC: 81/WA8774) with black trimmings and a matching black power convertible top. The car wears SS badging on the front quarters and rear fascia and features a scooped hood for functional cold air induction.
Upgraded SS suspension came as part of the WU8 package along with chrome 5-spoke 17-inch wheels fitted in BF Goodrich G-Force Comp-2 rubber. Power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes are equipped as well as a dual exhaust system with quad tips at the rear.
Bucket seating is upholstered in gray leather to match the carpeting and vinyl dash and door panels which show little to no signs of wear. Interior equipment includes air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, AM/FM/CD stereo, power seats and locks, remote mirrors, and rear window defogger.
Instrumentation consists of a 155-MPH speedometer and 7,000-RPM tachometer along with additional dials for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage and fuel level. The seller reports approximately 10,500 original miles on the odometer.
The engine compartment is home to a 5.7L aluminum LS1 V-8 bolted to a T-56 6-speed manual transmission making 320hp from the factory. The seller reports the drivetrain to be completely unmodified, and according to Carfax, the last oil change was done at 10,106 miles. Only 802 WU8 code SS convertibles were produced in 1999, but a mere 365 of those came with a 6-speed manual transmission as equipped in this example.
