This 2008 Mercedes-Benz S550 4MATIC is a two-owner, all-wheel-drive luxury sedan powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission. This S-Class has been dealer-serviced and garage-kept under the seller’s ownership, having received an oil change in May 2021 and a recent $4k in maintenance to the air suspension system. Additional features include bi-xenon headlamps, a traction-control system, a COMAND infotainment system, and heated and ventilated seating. Finished in Black over a black leather interior, this W221 S550 is now offered with extra wheels and snow tires, a clean CARFAX report, service records, and a clear Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
The S-Class has been slotted in the Mercedes-Benz lineup as the brand’s flagship full-size luxury sedan since 1972. For the fifth-generation S-Class which debuted in 2006, a newly-redesigned exterior was rolled out. This S550 from two years later wears its factory Black (040U) finish and is described as being in good condition and garage-kept throughout, with exception of some small stone chips consistent with age and mileage. The exterior is trimmed in brightwork for the grille, hood ornament, lower window trim, and badging, with black-finished, power-folding side-view mirrors on either side. Lighting is provided by bi-xenon headlamps upfront with swiveling functionality, combined with cornering lights and LED taillamps.
Aluminum 19” double-spoked factory wheels are wrapped in newer Goodyear Eagle tires. The hydraulic control unit for the Airmatic air suspension was recently dealer-replaced which amounted to a $4k expense. This S-Class is outfitted with an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) traction-control system which employs anti-lock braking, and steering is both power-assisted and speed-sensitive.
The interior is upholstered with heated and ventilated black leather that is color-matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. The cabin is trimmed in woodgrain for the dash, console, steering wheel, and door panels, with a panoramic power-operated glass sunroof coming as standard equipment on this model. Additional amenities include a hard disk-based COMAND infotainment with navigation, Parktronic, a Keyless Go smart key system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power rear window sunshade, power windows with auto-down, multi-zone automatic climate control, an electric parking brake. The audio system is AM/FM/CD and XM compatible.
A customizable digital instrument display shows a 260-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and accompanying readouts for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 160k kilometers, which is a true reading per the seller.
The M273 5.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 383 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new. The battery was replaced, and other servicing is in current order with an oil change having been performed in May 2021. Power is directed to all four wheels via a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes service records and an extra set of factory wheels mounted to snow tires.

@Frederal – It appears you have owned the vehicle for ten months, what else have you done to it besides air suspension repair and what were the cost(s)? Do you have a running total on the maintenance and repair amounts to date? Why are you selling it? ...
Pictures 56 thru 61 show shows repair and maintenance. The car is to large for my wife, her SL550 is her summer driving car. She used it for one winter and feels uncomfortable parking.
