This 2009 Porsche Cayman fastback coupe has 57,000 original miles and derives power from a 2.9-liter flat-six paired with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. Technology includes a navigation system, AM/FM/CD stereo with satellite connectivity, advanced safety equipment, and automatic climate control. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a saddle leather interior, this 987-model Cayman is now offered with a CARFAX report, a cargo net, and a clear North Carolina title.
Sharing underpinnings and select body components with the Boxster roadster as a mid-engine two-seater, the Cayman two-door fastback coupe was first shown in 2005 and went through a facelift in 2008. Changes to the exterior included larger air intakes, new daytime running lights, and a new rear end with twin diffusers. This example from the subsequent year is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (X1) and has fog lamps, amber side markers, rear side intake vents, and a central polished exhaust outlet at the rear.
Alloy five-spoke 18” wheels with Porsche center crests are wrapped in newer Sumitomo tires. Stopping power comes from four-wheel power disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors, all handled by a traction-control system.
The interior has saddle leather seating for two, fitted with heated and power-adjustable fold-forward bucket seats complemented by matching door panels, dash, and carpeting. Conveniences include a powered, tilt-adjustable and leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows, mirrors, door locks, cruise control, a navigation system, and automatic climate control. Safety equipment includes front and side air bags, and the audio system is an AM/FM/CD head unit that is satellite radio ready. Storage compartments at both front and rear are fully carpeted.
Instrumentation is dominated by a central 8k-rpm tachometer, surrounded by a 190-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads approximately 57k miles which is an original reading per the selling dealer.
The mid-mounted 2.9-liter flat-six is housed beneath the rear storage compartment and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a 7-speed Porsche Doppel Kupplungs (PDK) dual-clutch automatic transmission with a column-mounted shifter.
The sale includes a cargo net.
