This 1930 Ford Model A two-door coupe features a rear rumble seat and a largely original interior, having received a respray in its original black color under prior ownership. Power under the hood comes from a period-correct and mechanically-sorted 201ci L-head inline-four paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, and deceleration is handled by a mechanical drum brake system. Finished with a dark gray vinyl interior, this Model A is now offered with repair manuals, parts catalogs, a battery tender, and a clear Colorado title in the seller’s name.
First launching in 1928, the Model A was available in a variety of body styles throughout its lifespan, and this example comes in a two-door coupe form wearing a black repaint that was applied under prior ownership. Accompanying brightwork is featured for the dual-bar front and rear bumpers, radiator shell, headlight surrounds, and door handles. Additional exterior aesthetics features include a windshield visor, a full-size spare tire mounted along with the driver-side running board, and a rear-hinged rumble seat out back. The seller notes that all glass is in good condition, and turn signals have been added.
Red-painted wire wheels with chrome center caps are wrapped in matching tires all the way around. The body rides on transverse leaf springs, and the mechanical braking system features drums both front and rear.
The interior provides dark gray vinyl bench upholstery, with matching material covering the door panels and a black-painted dash. Condition is shown in the photo carousel as displaying age-related wear but no major blemishes. Wooden panels have been installed in the front footwell.
Instrumentation is housed within a bright bezel offering a speedometer, a fuel gauge, and an ammeter. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 73k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The period-correct replacement 201ci L-head inline-four engine was reportedly sourced from a 1929 Model A and is rated at 40 horsepower. The motor is reported to run well and is connected to a 6-volt electrical system. The seller notes that the fuel shutoff valve is stuck open. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 3-speed manual transmission and a floor-mounted shift lever.
Photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
The sale includes a repair manual, parts catalogs, and a battery tender.

@Zeolkid – What is a Hydraulic braking system? How much remains to be finished in both the interior and rumble seat? How old are thr tires and battery? ...
The age of the tires and battery are unknown. At least one year. You can see how much is left to finish in the pictures in the gallery, that depends on preference. The car is usable as is, you probably want to give attention to the upholstery especially in the rumble seat (I’ve added pictures).

@Zeolkid – It appears the interior headliner is unfinished. Do you have the material for this? Where is the master cylinder located for the Hydraulic braking system? Does it have the metal hydraulic lines to the wheels? ...
I have requested a correction to the description . The brakes are mechanical. I don’t have the material for the head liner.
@JAnthony – Can you show photos of rumble seat area ...
There is one picture of the rumble seat in the gallery. I have added more. The bottom cushion is taped, the back cushion is in better shape.
