This 1950 GMC FC-Series pickup is a largely original example that benefitted from a light restoration under prior ownership. Power is provided by a 228ci inline-6 mated to a manual transmission and features include mechanical steering and braking, a front disc brake conversion, manual cranking windows, a heater, and a wood-slatted truck bed. This New Design Series GMC pickup was purchased from Barrett-Jackson in 2014 and is offered with a clear California title in the seller's name.
Finished in two-tone turquoise over black, the exterior features chromed bumpers and grille, stainless trim pieces, rounded fenders, and a split-pane windshield. Photos offer a look at the condition of the paint, which the seller reports to be in good condition.
Factory style solid steel wheels are color-matched to the body, fitted with chrome GMC branded hub caps with chrome lips and wrapped in blackwall rubber. The suspension rides at stock height and consists of a leaf-sprung solid rear axle with a leaf-sprung straight axle up front.
The exterior colors are carried to the interior where we find black vinyl upholstery, two-tone doors, and black carpet. Other features include stainless door hardware and the shifter for the 3-speed manual.
Instrumentation is mounted behind a 3-spoke steering wheel and consists of an 80-mph speedometer and another single gauge with readouts for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery amperage, and oil pressure. Mileage is currently unknown.
Power is sent to the rear wheels by a 228ci "stovebolt-6" mated to a 3-speed manual transmission which was a combination rated for 96hp for the model year while fueled by a single-barrel carburetor.
A single exhaust system can be found underneath and in between the C-channel frame rails along with the aforementioned suspension components. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be found in the image carousel and four videos of the truck have been made available below.

The door does shut all the way. It needs some adjustment to get it to stay all the way shut. Unfortunately the auction went live as I left town for a trip and I wasn’t able to adjust the door and retake the pics. Thank for tour question and happy bidding.
