NCRS Top Flight 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is a National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) restoration completed in 2007 by an NCRS judge as well as an NCRS "Top Flight" vehicle. In September of 2008, it received an NCRS score of 96.9. The original 427ci Turbo-Jet V8 and Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission are present as well as side exhausts, bolt-on wheels with redline tires, and a transistor ignition system. Refinished in its original Ermine White and topped with a black convertible roof over a black vinyl interior equipped with shoulder belts, this C2 is available now from a dealer and comes with documentation, its original window sticker and build sheet, NCRS judging sheets, awards, ribbons, and a clear title.

The body is refinished in Ermine White with a black convertible top that features a plastic rear window.  A "Stinger" hood with black accent striping is present as well as factory side pipes. Other features include chrome two-piece front and rear bumpers, brightwork accents, pop-up headlights, and quad round taillights.

A set of 15-inch bolt-on wheels are wrapped in redline tires.

The cabin is filled with black vinyl seats equipped with shoulder belts and matching door panels, dashboard, and center console. Black carpeting and Chevrolet-branded floor mats cover the floorboards. The steering column connects to a 3-spoke steering wheel. A chrome 4-speed manual shifter with reverse lock-out is located in the center console just ahead of the vertical radio and climate control knobs.

The instrument panel contains a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The odometer shows a reading of 30,990 miles, which the selling dealer asserts is true but has not been verified. An analog clock is mounted in the middle of the center stack.

The engine is a 427ci, 390-horsepower Turbo-Jet V8 and backed by a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission that the seller states is documented to be original to the car. Iron exhaust manifolds, an open-element air cleaner, and a transistor ignition system also occupy the engine bay.

The seller states that the chassis was restored with attention to factory details and all shim and frame markings are in the correct places. The limited-slip rear axle has 3:70:1 gears. Additional chassis photos can be found in the carousel to the right.
