This rust-free 1940 Ford Pickup has undergone a documented $60K restoration and is powered by its reportedly original rebuilt flathead 221ci V8 backed by a rebuilt 3-speed manual transmission. Features include air conditioning, dual side mirrors, running boards with step pads, a chrome grille, a wood bed floor, bedside stakes, and chrome bumpers. This metallic burgundy and silver Ford truck with a maroon and silver vinyl interior is available now and comes with a set of uninstalled chrome American Racing wheels with new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, records, receipts, and a clear South Carolina title.
According to the seller, this truck was refinished in 2012 in metallic burgundy and silver. Features include a split front windshield, chrome hood trim, dual chrome side mirror housings, black running boards with step pads, a bedside-mounted spare tire bracket, a chrome grille, a wood bed floor, bedside stakes, and chrome bumpers.
A set of red steel wheels with chrome Ford center caps and trim rings are wrapped in whitewall radial tires. The seller states that all tires are in like-new shape.
Late-model front bucket seats with headrests and integrated seat belts are upholstered in silver and maroon with matching door panels. Features include a custom overhead console with storage compartments, an aftermarket digital stereo and speakers, a steel dashboard color-matched to the fenders, manual windows, an aftermarket turn signal assembly, an aluminum 3-spoke steering wheel, and a silver custom center console with cup holders.
The Auto Meter instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level mounted in a ball-milled aluminum panel in the dashboard. An Auto Meter analog clock is mounted on the glovebox door. The 5-digit odometer shows 8,407 miles.
The power is provided by the reportedly original rebuilt 221ci flathead V8 backed by a rebuilt 3-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, the engine has covered 7,000 miles since being rebuilt. Features include dual carburetors, body-color radiator hoses, chrome air cleaners, braided fuel lines, a chrome air conditioning compressor, finned valve covers, and a chrome alternator.
This truck came from the factory equipped with a perimeter frame and leaf spring-mounted front and rear axles. According to the seller, the rear end is fitted with coil-over shocks.
The seller will include a set of uninstalled chrome American Racing wheels with new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, records, and receipts with the sale.
