OVERVIEW
This SS-style 1972 Chevrolet El Camino is a body-off restoration that sends power from its reportedly original 350ci V8 through a four-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. Features include power steering, power brakes, an aftermarket Pioneer stereo with a CD player, and a custom fiberglass truck bed tonneau cover. Refinished in red with white stripes and equipped with a white vinyl roof over a newer black vinyl interior, this El Camino is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear Wisconsin title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The red exterior is accented with a white vinyl roof, white rally stripes on the hood, and a white fiberglass tonneau cover. Other features include mud flaps, chrome bumpers, a black front grille, a personalized decal on the back rear window, and SS badging on the grille, front fenders, and tailgate.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
This El Camino sits on a set of gray wheels with brushed aluminum lips and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin comes equipped with a black vinyl bench seat, black carpeting, a matching headliner, a Pioneer stereo with a CD player, and a Hurst T-handle manual shifter. Amenities include power steering and power brakes.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph horizontal speedometer sits in the center of the rectangular instrument cluster with a vertical fuel gauge on the right. A VDO 7K-rpm tachometer is positioned to the left of the instrument cluster. To the right of the speedometer are five auxiliary gauges that show the oil pressure, vacuum pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and time. The five-digit analog odometer shows 52,433 miles but the actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The reportedly original small-block 350ci V8 with a two-barrel carburetor sits in the black engine bay. A four-speed manual transmission managed by a floor-mounted Hurst shifter delivers the engine’s output to the road.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Several photos of the car's underbody are available in the gallery to the right.
