1929 Ford Model A

This 1929 Ford Model A sport coupe is finished in navy blue over a black cloth interior and is powered by a 201ci inline 4-cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed Mitchell synchromesh manual transmission 2-speed overdrive. The car was the recipient of a full restoration to original condition with minor modifications. Equipment includes a rumble seat, reupholstered seats, and Weber carburetor.  Located in Tulare, California, this Model A is now offered for sale on a clean California title.

The vehicle is finished in deep blue with black fenders with full-length running boards and a tan cloth top with Landau bars. The car received a full restoration with all brightwork being replated or polished, including the dual-bar front bumper, chrome headlight surrounds, and dual side-view mirrors. Factory Ford logo step plates are fitted to the running boards on both sides, while the glass is free of chips or cracks, and a folding rumble seat is equipped at the rear.

Factory spoked wheels are finished in red with Ford-logo chrome center caps and are fitted to recently installed Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires on all four corners. A full size spare is included in the sale, and mounts to the back of the car.

The interior features a bench seat upholstered in tan cloth with matching tan door panels and carpeting. Chrome shift levers for the manual transmission, overdrive, and E-brake handle are mounted to the floor, while chrome door handles and window cranks are affixed to the doors. The tan headliner is in good condition with no rips or tears with a zip-out rear panel with a glass window.

Instrumentation includes a centrally mounted gauge cluster consisting of a ribbon-style speedometer, a fuel gauge, and a voltage gauge surrounded by a chrome bezel.  There is also a VDO aftermarket, column-mounted coolant temperature gauge, and a control stalk for the turn signals. The factory levers to adjust the timing advance and throttle are located on the black steering wheel, however, they are no longer necessary as the car is equipped with electronic ignition.  The five-digit odometer reads 380 miles; true miles are unknown.

The 201ci L-head 4-cylinder engine has been balanced and is equipped with a high-compression 6:1 head, touring cam, Weber carburetor, high-pressure oil pump, electronic ignition, and an exhaust header.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 3-speed synchromesh Mitchel manual transmission with 2-speed overdrive and a floor-mounted shift lever.
