350-POWERED 1979 CHEVROLET K10 SUBURBAN 4X4

OVERVIEW

This 1979 Chevrolet K10 Suburban 4x4 full-size sport utility vehicle went through a frame-on restoration under prior ownership and received a crate-sourced 350cid small-block V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Upgrades include chrome exterior accessories, 16-inch Ultra wheels, custom upholstery, and a hitch receiver. Recent service includes work on the differentials and suspension. Finished in maroon over a black cloth interior with contrast piping, this seventh-generation Suburban is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The maroon exterior was resprayed under prior ownership. Accenting features include chrome brightwork, a brush guard, a billet grille, side steps, a windshield visor, a luggage rack, a hitch receiver, and a dual exhaust system. The selling dealer notes that there is some small bubbling on the hood.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

The 16-inch Ultra aluminum wheels are wrapped in 265/70 tires all the way around.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with black cloth upholstery with maroon accent piping for the front and rear benches, matched to the vinyl door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting. Features include floor mats, a front seat-mounted console, manual-crank windows, and a heater.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation is surrounded by aluminum bezels and includes a 100-mph speedometer along with gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. An auxiliary 8,000-rpm tachometer has been added near the driver-side A-pillar. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 23,605 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The crate-sourced 350cid small-block V8 feeds power to all four wheels via a column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and locking Warn hubs up front. The dealer has performed a safety inspection.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The dealer has serviced the front and rear differentials, drivelines, transfer case, and brakes.
