OVERVIEW
This 1962 Chevrolet Impala two-door hardtop comes with power steering, staggered-diameter Ridler wheels, power front disc brakes, an upgraded Pioneer audio system, and a Holley Sniper fuel injection system. It is powered by a 396cid big-block V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in two-tone Black Onyx and Sterling Silver over a taupe vinyl and beige cloth interior, this third-generation Impala is now offered by the selling dealer with service records and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was recoated in two-tone Black Onyx and Sterling Silver during a prior restoration. Exterior features include quad headlights, chrome brightwork, a driver-side mirror, dual antennas, and rocker moldings.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome Ridler five-spoke 18-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are wrapped in 245/40 front and 275/35 rear tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with taupe vinyl bench seats with beige cloth inserts, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Features include power steering, a billet steering wheel, lap belts, aluminum dash trim, and an upgraded Pioneer sound system with a trunk-mounted subwoofer. The selling dealer states that the factory air conditioning system is inoperative.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a sweeping 120-mph speedometer, column-mounted 8,000-rpm tachometer, fuel gauge, and three under-dash auxiliary gauges that show other vehicle vitals. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 63,470 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 396cid big-block V8 features a Holley Sniper fuel injection system and an Edelbrock intake. According to the selling dealer, it was recently tuned and dyno-tested. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping is performed by power-assisted disc brakes up front and drums in the rear.
