The 31,833 miles on the odometer are believed to be original miles. The Massachusetts title I have for the car also verifies this as actual miles. All fingers point to it being correct but I don’t have any solid documentation to prove it other than the title and the word of the previous owner.
Good morning and welcome to my auction. I purchased this car along with two others from a European car collector. This was the only VW and his favorite. He had the car professionally stripped and repainted its original Zambezi Green at cost of over $10K. The quality of the paint work is extraordinary. The interior is all original from 1973. Vinyl in great shape with no tears or seam separation. The dash padding is poor (typical) and reproductions are available. Front seat foam / padding could use replacing for a better seating feel. Carpet is faded with some stains. The car sat idle for about 3 years in a dry garage. Came back to life easily with a fresh battery. Brakes were all replaced before storage but peddle feels a bit low. There was a small oil leak at the cooler but the more I use the car, the less and less it leaks but wanted to mention it. The semi automatic setup works as designed and was said to have been refurbished by the previous owner. It’s a great car that deserves to be brought to the next level. Reserve is low considering the pedigree. I can arrange transport to you also. Ask questions and I’ll answer as quickly as possible. Thank you and good luck!
