Important Update for All Bidders on the 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne Dear Bidders, Thank you for your interest in the 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne currently listed through our dealership. We would like to provide full transparency and clarification regarding a few important details on this consignment vehicle. The current owner represented the engine as a 427; however, after a thorough inspection by our certified technicians, we have confirmed that the engine is in fact a 350. We want to ensure that all bidding is done with accurate information and understanding of what is truly under the hood. In addition, please note the following details regarding the vehicle: • Exterior: The body is in excellent condition with no visible rust. It has had one repaint—the original factory color was red, but it has since been painted a metallic black. • Wheels/Tires: The car is equipped with custom aftermarket wheels and tires. • Interior: The interior is in poor condition and will need a complete restoration. There are no door panels or headliner currently installed. • Mechanical: The vehicle has been test-driven by our technicians and it runs out strong. The engine pulls well and the drivetrain performs as expected. We appreciate your understanding and your continued interest in this classic Biscayne. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or to request further documentation. Our goal is to make sure that all bidders are confident and informed throughout this process.
Information says 427? Pictures show a small block, so is this a long stroke small block?
@carolinaclassic – @TxRob65 Hi Rob! This vehicle has been brought to our dealership on consignment. The current owner has stated that the vehicle received front end damage and therefore they totaled it out. There is NO evident rust on the exterior panels of the vehicle, and the vehicle has had one re-paint. The original color was red. The exterior body is in VERY good shape and the motor is solid and runs out great. The interior is in poor condition and would have to be completely re-done. There are NO interior door panels and needs new carpet and headliner. There is also no speakers in the vehicle. I am hoping I have answered your question as best as I can. ...
Thank you and I apologize that I made the assumption it was a flood car without any firsthand knowledge of that. Still seems like it would have to have been very substantial damage to be totaled out but I’m no expert on that. And you can only go by what the consigner is stating. Thanks.
@William600 It really is an automatic and the engine is solid, and vehicle runs out great. This vehicle is brought to us on consignment and has great bones as a project vehicle. As stated before, the exterior body is in great condition. The motor and transmission is in great condition. The interior is in very condition and would have to be completely re-done. The vehicle has been re-painted and the paint is in great condition. Has metallic flecks in paint and looks great in natural sunlight. Overall, this is a solid body, solid motor but extremely poor interior.

So I guess I’ll answer my own question about the salvage title… obviously a flood car from Hurricane Helene last year that decimated this area as well as a lot of this area of NC and others. I’m originally from the piedmont area of NC and have relatives in the mountain areas of NC that saw and were affected by the floods. So I guess the question @carolinaclassic is, was this car completely submerged? Or what was the extent of the flood to this car? Seems like you’re not being forthcoming on the details. Also this looks to be a small block and not a big block 427 so please clarify. Thank you.
how is it manual shift with no clutch peddle in photo. Is it really automatic? and what condition is motor??
@sherlock56 – Driving video? 4 SPEED? ...
It’s an automatic not a 4 speed. The description is wrong.
Hi, What are the details about the salvage title? Thank you

1968 Chevrolet Biscayne – Classic Cruiser with Muscle Potential Check out this sleek 1968 Chevrolet Biscayne, finished in a sharp black exterior with a fresh repaint that brings out the timeless lines of this vintage ride. Riding on brand new custom American Racing wheels and tires, this car has serious curb appeal and a strong foundation for the right buyer looking to take it to the next level. While the interior needs a full restoration, the engine is solid and the car runs and drives strong—making it an ideal candidate for someone wanting a driver they can enjoy now while finishing up the restoration process over time. This is what we’d call a project vehicle, not because it doesn’t perform, but because the previous restoration efforts were started but not completed. A few finishing touches are still needed to make this Biscayne truly shine, but it already has some major components taken care of. The body is straight, rust-free, and ready for someone who wants to cruise now and customize later. Whether you’re looking to build a sleeper, restore a piece of American muscle history, or just have a reliable weekend driver with attitude, this Biscayne checks all the boxes.
