Vehicle Story

This 1933 Ford Model B pickup was the recipient of a frame-up restoration prior to the seller's purchase in 2000 and has been driven approximately 100 miles in the past 20 years. Power comes from the original 221ci flathead V8 paired with a 3-speed manual transmission while equipment includes updated hydraulic brakes, refreshed seating, new flooring, and newer wood slats for the bed. Located in Santa Rosa, California, the pickup is offered for sale with a clear California title in the seller's name.

1933 saw a new hood design with curved louvers and a forward slope and the look is accompanied by a full-size spare, a chrome front bumper and horn, newer wood bed slats, painted logo, step plates, and more. The body received a green respray as part of the restoration and the paint and bodywork are reported to be in excellent condition thanks to limited usage and garage storage.

Mechanical steering and recently updated hydraulic brakes are equipped to handle a set of whitewall tires fitted over steel spoke wheels finished in yellow and topped off with chrome hub caps. The wheelbase was stretched from 106 to 112 inches in 1933, and the vehicle was built atop a revised cross-member frame. Ride quality and deceleration are reported to be good.

The interior is trimmed in black upholstery over new seat springs along with fresh tan floor coverings and a black dash. Period correct controls include a floor-mounted shifter, foot pedals, and a black 3-spoke steering wheel.

Instrumentation is located in the center of the dash panel and consists of a 90-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and battery amperage. Actual chassis mileage is unknown.

The 221ci flathead V8 is paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, both of which are reported to be original. The engine is dressed in body-matching green valve covers with a black air cleaner and single-barrel downdraft carburetor underneath. Approximately 100 miles have been driven since purchased in 2000, and the seller reports that the vehicle is a good driver.

Additional photos of the undercarriage are located in the gallery.

Restoration photos and documentation will be included with the sale, and videos are available for viewing below.

Are there any mechanical issues, even minor ones? How would you rate the condition of the bodywork from 1 to 10?
