Vehicle Story

This 1972 Chevrolet C10 long-bed truck is from the final model year of GM's "Action Line" generation of pickups. It received a frame-off restoration and features a two-tone paint job on all original sheet metal, Cheyenne Super trim components, an egg-crate grille, chrome and simulated woodgrain accents, and five-spoke American Racing wheels. Under the hood, there is a 350ci V8 crate engine, which is connected to the rebuilt original 3-speed automatic transmission. The cabin is equipped with a restored dashboard, gauges, and a two-spoke steering wheel. Features include aftermarket outboard leather bucket seats with a separate middle seat and simulated woodgrain accents. This rust-free, four-owner C10 comes with a clear title in the seller's name, service records, and receipts associated with parts purchases the seller has made since ownership

As part of its frame-off restoration completed in 2005, this C10 received a two-stage paint job of Copper Metallic and White. Chrome highlights the grille, both bumpers, new side mirrors and door handles, tailgate, exhaust tip, and other areas. Badges for the 350ci engine and Cheyenne Super trim level are mounted on the front fenders. Simulated wood grain runs across the lower body sides. More woodgrain and metallic letters that spell out "Chevrolet" span the width of the tailgate. The unlined bed is painted to match the Copper Metallic on the body.

The factory wheels have been replaced with a set of 18-inch American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels and Michelin Defender LTX tires.

Inside the cabin, seating is provided by aftermarket tan leather seats on the outboard sides and a middle seat with a backrest that folds down to reveal two cup holders. The exposed metal portions of the restored dashboard and door panels are painted the same Metallic Copper as the body. Simulated woodgrain trim is found on the dashboard and door panels. According to the seller, the steering wheel and gauges, which provide readouts of the speed, RPMs, temperature, oil pressure, and more, have been restored. The odometer inside the 100-mph speedometer shows 3,403 miles, which have been accumulated since the crate engine was installed in 2005.

Equipment includes a new AM/FM radio and cassette player with volume and tuning knobs. The HVAC controls show there is a heat function, but it should be noted that the seller stated that this truck does not have air conditioning.

The original 350ci V8 engine has been replaced with an identically sized crate motor that's been updated with a new intake manifold, Magnaflow headers, and a chrome water pump, chrome valve covers, power steering pump, alternator, air cleaner, master cylinder, and thermostat housing. That's paired with this truck's original 3-speed automatic transmission, which has been rebuilt.

This C10 rides on a coil-spring independent front suspension with shock absorbers and a rear suspension with coil springs and shocks. The rear differential has its gears set to a 4.11:1 ratio.

The seller reports this truck's oil was changed three months ago and that its intake manifold and coolant were replaced two months ago. Various parts receipts and invoices are included in the sale
