1941 Ford Super Deluxe

This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe two-door convertible has been driven fewer than 2,000 miles since the completion of an inside-and-out restoration with associated receipts in excess of $80,000. Power is provided by a rebuilt 221ci flathead V8 paired with a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission; options include a power-operated retractable top, newer tires, fog lamps, and dual polished exhaust outlets. Finished in light blue with a navy fabric top over a reupholstered navy blue leather interior, this Super Deluxe is now offered with build documentation, receipts, an owner’s manual, and a clear Utah title in the seller’s name.

Full-size Ford models were updated in 1941 just before World War II with a widened body and integrated fenders. The grille for passenger cars was laid out in three sections; body styles included two-door and four-door, sedan delivery, convertible, and other configurations. This top-trim Super Deluxe convertible was put through a ground-up restoration that resulted in over $80k in associated receipts. The body was refinished in light blue and the navy power-operated retractable fabric top along with the accompanying boot was replaced. Brightwork is located on the bumpers, moldings, window trim, badging, and dual polished exhaust outlets at the rear. Additional equipment includes fog lamps and a two-piece windshield.

Body-color steel wheels have polished hub caps and are wrapped in new tires.

The interior is fitted with reupholstered navy blue leather bench seating and matching door panels and carpeting. Cabin amenities include a push-button ignition, an AM radio, and a woodgrain dashboard with bright accents. The trunk is lined with a vinyl mat and contains a spare tire.

Instrumentation consists of a horizontal 100-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 1,900 miles, which reflects mileage accrued since the restoration was completed. True mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The rebuilt 221ci flathead V8 was rated at 90 horsepower and is described by the seller as being in optimal running and driving condition. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission.
