1978 Pontiac Phoenix

This largely original two-owner 1978 Pontiac Phoenix coupe shows approximately 51k miles and has spent its entire life in Arizona. Power comes from a newer 350ci V8 with 300 horsepower mated to a new 3-speed automatic transmission. New equipment includes the Edelbrock 500-cfm carburetor, tires, carpeting, and dual-exhaust system. Finished in white with a blue vinyl half-roof panel over a gray cloth interior, this Phoenix is now offered with promotional materials, a factory warranty card, manuals, a dealer key chain, and a clear title in the seller’s name.

The rear-wheel drive Pontiac Phoenix was introduced for 1977 as a replacement to the upscale Pontiac Ventura, which it replaced entirely in 1978. Finished in white with a blue vinyl half-roof panel, this example features a chrome front grille, front and rear chrome bumpers, and side moldings.

This Phoenix rides on a set of five-spoke wheels and new Milestar Streetsteel tires.

The interior is furnished with gray cloth bench seats in both rows and color-coordinated door panels, dashboard, and new carpeting. According to the seller, the interior is completely original with the exception of the carpet. The cabin is accented with woodgrain veneer on the door panels. Equipment includes manual crank windows, air conditioning, and a push-button radio.

Instrumentation can be found behind the 3-spoke factory steering wheel and includes gauges consisting of a 100-mph speedometer, and additional gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure and battery voltage come mounted adjacent in the wood grain cluster along with a 5-digit odometer which is reported to show original mileage of 50,938. 

Power is sent to the rear wheels by a newer 300-horsepower 350ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission. The engine recently received a new Edelbrock carburetor. According to the seller, all fluids have been serviced.
