This 1999 Chevrolet Corvette is a 2-owner American sports car powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It comes equipped with fog lights, a body-color targa top, a glass rear hatch, Goodyear tires, recently installed cross-drilled brake rotors, and the Z51 Performance Handling Package. Interior features include a power telescoping steering column, power-adjustable bucket seats, dual-zone climate control with A/C, a head-up display, Bose audio with a 12-disc CD changer, and the Active Handling System. Finished in Torch Red with a matching removable roof panel over a Light Oak leather interior, this C5 Corvette is available now from a dealer and comes with a new battery, a set of owner’s manuals, a removable translucent top panel, a top storage bag, two keys and one key fob remote, a front license plate mounting frame filler, a clean Carfax report, and a clear title.
Chevrolet released the fifth-generation Corvette for the 1997 model year. Initially, it was only available as a coupe with a removable targa top panel. Convertible and hardtop models came out in subsequent years. This particular 1999 coupe comes dressed in Torch Red with matching body side moldings, mirror caps, and door handles as well as a body-color removable targa top panel and a translucent targa top panel. Features include fog lights, pop-up headlights, a glass rear hatch with defroster, and quad round taillights and polished exhaust finishers.
The car rolls on polished 17-inch front wheels, 18-inch rear wheels, and Goodyear Eagle tires. Braking power is provided by recently installed slotted and cross-drilled brake rotors and new pads.
The cabin is furnished with a 2-tone combination of Light Oak sport seats, carpeting, and seat belts; a black upper/Light Oak lower dashboard and matching door panels; and a black center console. Amenities include black Corvette-branded floor and trunk mats from Lloyd Mats; power windows, locks, and mirrors; power-adjustable seats with 2-profile memory settings for the driver's seat; a head-up display; a power telescoping steering column; Twilight Sentinel automatic lighting; and dual-zone climate control with A/C. The AM/FM/CD radio is connected to Bose speakers and a 12-disc CD changer in the carpeted storage area, which is covered with a black shade.
Instrumentation consists of a 7,500-rpm tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 47K miles, which is supported by the November 23, 2021 mileage amount recorded on the Carfax report.
Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter LS1 V8 that was factory-rated for 345 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm when new. A rear-mounted 6-speed manual gearbox sends power to the road through the rear wheels. A new battery was just installed.
The Magnasteer system is comprised of a rack-and-pinion setup and speed-sensitive, variable-effort hardware. In addition to a double-wishbone suspension design, this car is equipped with the Active Handling System and the Z51 package.
The Carfax report shows a vehicle history free of accidents and that the car has spent time in Colorado, New Mexico, Michigan, Arizona, and New Jersey, where it is currently located. An owner’s manual, a removable translucent top panel, a top storage bag, two keys and one key fob remote, and a front license plate mounting frame filler are included with the purchase of the vehicle.
