1999 Chevrolet Corvette 6-Speed

This 1999 Chevrolet Corvette is a 2-owner American sports car powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Chevrolet released the fifth-generation Corvette for the 1997 model year. Initially, it was only available as a coupe with a removable targa top panel. Convertible and hardtop models came out in subsequent years. This particular 1999 coupe comes dressed in Torch Red with matching body side moldings, mirror caps, and door handles as well as a body-color removable targa top panel and a translucent targa top panel. Features include fog lights, pop-up headlights, a glass rear hatch with defroster, and quad round taillights and polished exhaust finishers.

Instrumentation consists of a 7,500-rpm tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 47K miles, which is supported by the November 23, 2021 mileage amount recorded on the Carfax report.

Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter LS1 V8 that was factory-rated for 345 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm when new. A rear-mounted 6-speed manual gearbox sends power to the road through the rear wheels. A new battery was just installed.

The Magnasteer system is comprised of a rack-and-pinion setup and speed-sensitive, variable-effort hardware. In addition to a double-wishbone suspension design, this car is equipped with the Active Handling System and the Z51 package.
