This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 step-side pickup from GM's Task Force era of trucks is powered by the reportedly original 235ci inline 6-cylinder backed by a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission. Features include aftermarket turn signals, manual brakes, manual windows, dual exterior mirrors, and front and rear bumpers. It comes equipped with newer spark plugs, fuel lines, valve cover gasket, vacuum lines, and master cylinder. This green 3100 with visible patina and a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with uninstalled new wood and mounting strips for the bed, uninstalled aftermarket seatbelts, and a clear Virginia title from the seller.
This truck was in California its entire life until eight years ago when the seller purchased it and brought it to Virginia, where it has remained since then. The green body shows patina from age. Features include front and rear bumpers, dual headlamps, dual side mirrors, a step-side bed, and aftermarket turn signal assemblies. The seller states that uninstalled new wood and mounting strips for the bed are included as part of the sale.
A set of steel wheels with hub caps are wrapped in bias-ply tires.
The bench seat is upholstered in black vinyl. Features include white interior sheet metal, a driver-side visor, manual windows, a white steel dashboard with a black top, a column-mounted manual shifter, and a black 3-spoke Chevrolet steering wheel. Uninstalled aftermarket seat belts are included with the sale.
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the coolant temperature, amps, oil pressure, and fuel level are located in the original instrument bezel. According to the seller, the true mileage is unknown, but they believe 83,255 miles is accurate.
The power is provided by the reportedly original 235ci inline 6-cylinder backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. The seller states the engine was running well before the truck was parked and that the transmission will need a rebuild and a new clutch. The truck has not been started in a while, but it should fire up once it gets a new battery and gas. Newer parts include the spark plugs, fuel lines, valve cover gasket, and vacuum lines.
This pickup was originally equipped with a perimeter frame, solid axles, and leaf springs. The stopping power is provided by hydraulic manual 4-wheel drum brakes. According to the seller, the brake master cylinder has been replaced.
Uninstalled new wood and mounting strips for the bed and uninstalled aftermarket seatbelts are included with the sale of the vehicle.
