This 1967 Ford Mustang two-door fastback restoration candidate is powered by a 390ci V8 paired with a C6 3-speed automatic transmission. This Mustang was originally allocated to Jesse E. Smith Co in Glendale, California, and was subsequently relocated to Florida. Finishes are largely original and complete both inside and out, and this project car comes with aluminum wheels and a center console. Finished in gray with blue striping over a dark blue vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with a Marti Report and a clear Florida title.
In the mid-1960s, the Mustang pony car came to life using shared chassis engineering with other Ford models such as the Falcon. Known internally under the T-5 codename, the original Mustang was positioned as a compact car and offered in hardtop, fastback, and convertible styles. Stylistic changes were applied in 1966 including a revision to the emblems, grilles, and exterior trim. This Mustang two-door fastback from 1967 is a restoration candidate and features hood inlets, vented sail panels, and a concave rear taillight panel. According to the car’s accompanying Marti Report, this car was originally finished in Acapulco Blue (3077-A) when manufactured in San Jose, California in August of its model year.
Polished aluminum wheels are wrapped in tires with tread remaining. This fastback came factory-equipped with power-assisted front disc brakes.
The interior is fitted with dark blue bucket seats and vinyl door panels, featuring a full-length center console. Features when new included the Interior Decor Group, tinted glass, deluxe seatbelts. Condition overall is worn yet complete as shown in the photo carousel.
Instrumentation is communicated through a factory 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A five-digit mechanical odometer tracks accrued mileage, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
A 390ci V8 was installed in this Mustang from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted C6 3-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and a 3.25 limited-slip axle.
The sale includes a Marti Report.
