OVERVIEW
This 1965 Chevrolet Impala two-door hardtop has been with the seller for 30 years and is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Flowmaster dual-exhaust system, Dynamat sound damping, and a chrome-dressed engine bay. Refinished in black over a two-tone black vinyl and red cloth interior, this fourth-generation Impala is now offered with an owner’s manual and a clear Washington title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This full-sized B-body Impala was repainted black approximately 14 years ago. Equipment includes brightwork surrounding the quad headlights, full-length rocker panels, dual mirrors, and a Flowmaster dual-exhaust system that was installed in 2020.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Polished aluminum five-spoke wheels that were installed last year are wrapped in Grand Am Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior was equipped with Dynamat sound damping material and refurbished in 2019. It comes fitted with dual black two-tone bench seats in black vinyl and red cloth, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Features include a center armrest with cupholders, a carpeted dash mat, tinted windows, an aftermarket radio, and a carpeted trunk. The seller notes this car does not have air conditioning.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The Super Sport-derived instrumentation includes a 120-mph horizontal-sweep speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the voltage, oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 87K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 327ci V8 is accented with chrome-finished dress-up components for the valve covers, air cleaner, and alternator. The hood liner has been replaced. The motor was serviced in 2021. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a column-shifted TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. According to the seller, the car was last serviced a year and a half ago, but they will change the oil when the car sells.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping power comes from power disc brakes installed four years ago.
