Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This garage-kept 1951 Chevrolet 3100 pickup has been with the seller for seven years and is powered by a 235ci inline-6 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Features include manual steering and brakes, a wood bed floor, aftermarket turn signals, and a cowl vent. Refinished in black with green accents over a black cloth and green vinyl interior, this Chevrolet truck is available now and comes with a clear Texas title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The body and fenders have been refinished in black with a green beltline accent stripe. Features include chrome bumpers with front bumper guards, a color-matched grille, dual headlights with aftermarket chrome visors, driver- and passenger-side mirrors, a split windshield, a step-side bed with a wood bed floor, and dual taillights.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of steel artillery-style wheels finished in green with black rims and chrome hub caps is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The bench seat is upholstered in black cloth with green vinyl inserts and piping. Features include a black rubber floor covering; metallic gray interior sheet metal; manual windows, brakes, and steering; an aftermarket turn signal assembly; a column-mounted manual shifter; and a metallic gray steel dashboard with a radio block-off plate.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

An 80-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. With 100 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 112K miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 235ci inline-6 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include manual steering, manual brakes, a blue engine block, a gray valve cover with a "Thrift Master" decal, cast iron exhaust and intake manifolds, and a single-barrel carburetor with an oil-bath air cleaner. According to the seller, the last oil change was completed in 2020.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevrolet pickup is factory-equipped with a solid I-beam front axle and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by four-wheel manual drums. A single-exhaust system exits at the rear. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be found in the carousel to the right.

@Dhenley15 – Could an older woman steer that wheel and depress that clutch or would it be too arduous ...

With no power steering - it might be more difficult for an older woman to turn the steering wheel and depress the clutch
