OVERVIEW

This unmodified Euro-spec 1985 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL has been with the seller for 33 years and is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-6 engine backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission. EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The body is finished in metallic charcoal gray and features Euro-spec bumpers, headlights, and taillights. Additional features include manual remote driver- and passenger-side mirrors, a removable color-keyed hard top, and a folding cloth convertible top with a plastic rear window. The seller notes small scratches that are not visible when the hardtop is attached and the presence of rust at the bottom of the rocker panels.

The bucket seats are upholstered in black MB-Tex. All original emissions equipment and air intake components are present. In December of 2021, the oil was changed and the spark plugs were replaced.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Mercedes was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums.
