1954 Chevrolet 3100

OVERVIEW

This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is reportedly a $45,000 build powered by a 383ci Vortec stroker V8 backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission. Features include a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, power front disc brakes, Vintage Air climate control, a tilt steering column, and power bucket seats. Finished in red over a cream and red leather interior, this garage-kept Chevrolet truck is available now and comes with an uninstalled set of stainless hood struts and a clear Louisiana title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The steel body and fiberglass rear fenders and running boards were refinished in red in 2016. Features include a chrome front bumper, a color-keyed grille, dual headlights with chrome rings, dual chrome mirror housings, and running boards with tread plate steps. Additional features include a natural hickory wood bed with stainless strips and a fuel door; hidden tailgate latches; 1948 Chevrolet taillights, and a custom rear pan. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 17-inch late-model Chevrolet Tahoe six-lug aluminum wheels is wrapped in P265/60R17 Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The power bucket seats are upholstered in cream and red leather. Interior features include gloss red sheet metal, tan carpet with black carpeted floor mats, brown door panel inserts, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, a tilt steering column, a red steel dashboard, Vintage Air climate control, manual windows, power steering, and power brakes.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 140-mph Dolphin speedometer and a combination Dolphin gauge with the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage are mounted ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 2,580 miles, reflecting the mileage accrued since the completion of the build.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 383ci Vortec stroker V8 engine backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission. Output is reportedly 425 horsepower. Underhood features include a polished air conditioning compressor, a Walker radiator, a chrome alternator, chrome valve covers, and a chrome air cleaner. UNDERCARRIAGE

The chassis of this pickup has been sandblasted and powder-coated in metallic silver. Upgrades include a Mustang II-style independent front suspension with power rack-and pinion-steering and a solid six-lug Blazer rear drive axle. An aluminum driveshaft, newer rear leaf springs, stainless brake lines, and a rear-mounted fuel tank have been added. A full-length dual-exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers exits at the rear.
