1929 Ford Model A

OVERVIEW

This all-steel 1929 Ford Model A was restored under previous ownership and is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine backed by a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Features include heat and air conditioning, a tilt steering column, a dropped chrome tube front axle, a hinged hard tonneau cover, a wood bed floor, and manual front disc brakes. Finished in Granite Red over a tan cloth interior, this Model A is available now and comes with a clear Colorado title in the seller’s name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The Granite Red exterior features a chrome front bumper, a chrome radiator shell guard, dual headlights with chrome housings, a body-color headlight bar, a four-piece hinged hood, a black cloth roof and windshield visor, a tilt-out color-matched windshield frame, and color-matched mirror caps. Additional features include running board step plates, a short bed with a hinged black vinyl tonneau cover, dual taillights, and a rear roll pan. The seller notes minor age-related paint defects.

A set of aluminum wheels with chrome center caps is wrapped in radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The bench seat, door panels, trim, and headliner are upholstered in tan cloth. Features include brown carpeting, floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter and emergency brake handles, a brown steel dashboard with a woodgrain fascia, air conditioning, a tilt steering column, and manual windows, steering, and brakes.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level and other vehicle systems are located ahead of the driver. The odometer shows 2,651 miles, which the seller states is an accurate reading. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 backed by a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include a body-color engine block and heads, chrome block-hugger headers, finned polished aluminum Edelbrock valve covers with red accents, a polished aluminum intake, a four-barrel carburetor, a polished aluminum air intake scoop with red accents, a chrome alternator, a polished aluminum radiator overflow tank, and a body-color air conditioning compressor. The seller notes that an oil change was completed in July of 2022.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The chassis has been finished in red and upgraded with a chrome dropped-tube front axle and a solid rear drive axle. Features include manual brakes with front discs and rear drums. A pair of gas tanks provide fuel to the engine. Dual exhaust outlets exit at the rear.
