OVERVIEW
This custom 1947 Ford F1 pickup build was completed in 2009 and reportedly achieved top honors in its class in a 2012 East Coast Timing Association land speed competition. It is powered by a built Chevrolet 355ci V8 backed by a T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Performance upgrades include block-hugger headers, roller cams, a Demon carburetor, and aluminum heads. Finished in two-tone off-white and maroon over a black vinyl interior, this pickup is now offered by the selling dealer with race documentation and a clear Texas title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This customized exterior has a chopped roof and was repainted two-tone off-white and maroon in 2009 when the build was completed. It reportedly set a land speed record in the East Coast Timing Association's Unblown Fuel Lakester class with a 132-mph run in September of 2012. Exterior features include removable engine side panels, rear-hinged doors, a V-butt windshield, a louvered tonneau cover, and a battery kill switch on the tailgate. The selling dealer notes that there is a piece missing from the passenger-side mirror.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Wheels with polished lips and knock-off-style spinner caps are wrapped in Firestone Deluxe Champion tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-passenger cab is fitted with a black vinyl bench seat matched to the door panels. Equipment includes a tubular roll cage, Safety Racing harnesses, a fire extinguisher, and exposed Dynamat sound-damping material.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and other vehicle vitals. The odometer shows 953 miles, but true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The Chevrolet 355ci V8 was serviced in August of 2022 and has been driven regularly over the past two years, according to the selling dealer. It is reportedly leak- and issue-free and has been upgraded with roller cams that have been modified for street use, aluminum heads, a Demon carburetor, block-hugger headers, and an Optima battery. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a T-10 four-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping power comes from disc brakes. Additional photos showing the details of the chassis components are available in the carousel to the right.

@911AXER – Just wondering what is the rear gear? Also, it appears not to have side windows? thanks, nice ride. ...
Correct, it does not have side windows. As for the rear gear, I will see if I can get that information for you.
@Mustangsvt – How tall is the driver . Pretty tight quarters behind the steering wheel. ...
Driver is 5'11". The cab is tight, but it isn't bad at all to drive. We had three different people drive it ranging from 6'2" (200 lbs) to the driver in the video
