OVERVIEW
This 1968 Ford Mustang convertible has air conditioning, a replacement top, American Racing wheels with new Kumho tires, and a Mustang GT quad-outlet exhaust system. It is powered by a 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and received recent work to the fuel system, brakes, carburetor, and power steering. Finished in Lime Gold with a white top over a two-tone brown and tan vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with $6,000 in receipts, the uninstalled original wheels, and a clear Tennessee title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This reportedly rust-free Mustang convertible was repainted Lime Gold under prior ownership and equipped with a new white retractable top. Exterior features include chrome brightwork, a driver-side mirror, and a Mustang GT quad-outlet exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
The 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust D wheels are wrapped in new Kumho tires. The uninstalled original wheels will be included with the car.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is trimmed with two-tone brown and tan vinyl low-back bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Features include floor mats, air conditioning, and a radio. A Mustang rearview mirror and a Mustang GT steering wheel have been installed
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 55K miles, but the selling dealer states the odometer may have rolled over. The actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 289ci V8 received an oil change and a refreshed fuel system as part of the recent service. Newer parts include the spark plug wires, carburetor, power steering lines, and rear main seal. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Steering is power-assisted. The brakes have been serviced recently.
