OVERVIEW
This 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is a two-owner Colombian-market sport-utility vehicle that was imported to the United States within the last year and comes with 17-inch aluminum wheels, a modern audio system, air conditioning, and Hella auxiliary lighting. Power is distributed to all four wheels from a rebuilt 4.2-liter 2F inline-6 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in red over a black vinyl interior, this Land Cruiser is now offered with a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This FJ40 Land Cruiser’s straight two-door body is painted red and accented in black finishes for the rooftop, bumpers, grille, and sideview mirrors. Exterior equipment includes Hella auxiliary lighting, barn-style rear doors, a polished exhaust tip, and a swing-away rear spare tire with a vinyl cover.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Polished aluminum 17-inch wheels are wrapped in newer Bridgestone raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is trimmed with black vinyl seating up front and dual inboard-facing jump seats in the rear, tied in with the door panels, steering wheel, and flooring material. Amenities include air conditioning, a Bluetooth audio system, and tinted windows all around.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation surrounds a 160-km/h speedometer with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil temperature, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 43K kilometers, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The rebuilt 4.2-liter 2F inline-6 is upgraded with an aluminum radiator, and recent maintenance per the seller included replacement of the carburetor, battery, and clutch. Power is transferred to all four wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping power comes from four-wheel drum brakes.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The vehicle reportedly passed an emissions inspection in Medellin, Colombia prior to being imported to the United States. The seller has included photos of the vehicle being loaded for international transport.
