OVERVIEW

This 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air has received $4,000 in replacement exterior brightwork. It is powered by a 327ci V8 backed by a newer 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The red exterior features an aluminum grille, full-length bodyside trim, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, an accessory fuel door scratch guard, rear body trim, and quad taillights. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 18-inch aluminum Vision Legend-series wheels with gray centers is wrapped in 225/40/R18 front and 265/40/R18 rear radial tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The newly upholstered red vinyl interior consists of 1963 Bel Air front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, and pleated door panels. Features include red carpeting, manual windows and brakes, power steering, a RetroSound AM/FM stereo, a column-mounted automatic shifter, and a new red Impala steering wheel.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and a warning light for the coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. An aftermarket 8K-rpm tachometer is mounted to the steering column and aftermarket Bosch coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure gauges are mounted under the dashboard. The odometer reads 71K miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 327ci V8 and backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include a Holley carburetor, chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake, a chrome air cleaner, dual electric fans, and cast-iron exhaust manifolds. UNDERCARRIAGE

This Bel Air was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. The suspension has been lowered with new coil springs. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums. A dual-exhaust system with glasspack mufflers exits at the rear.
