OVERVIEW
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro two-door hardtop underwent cosmetic restoration in 2019 and is powered by a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes Rally wheels, SS badging, a center console, a Delco radio, and a rear spoiler. Finished in Rally Green with a black vinyl top over a two-tone black vinyl and houndstooth interior, this first-generation Camaro is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Michigan title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Camaro two-door hardtop reportedly retains its original sheet metal, which was recoated in Rally Green (J) in 2019 as part of cosmetic restoration. The body is capped off with a black vinyl top and features a chin spoiler, SS badging, chrome brightwork, hood accents, a driver-side mirror, and a rear spoiler.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Silver 15-inch Rally wheels with polished trim rings and center caps are wrapped in 205/75-sized redline tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The deluxe-trim interior was refurbished with black vinyl low-back bucket seats with houndstooth inserts up front and a bench in the rear. The dash and center console are accented with woodgrain veneer. Additional features include a passenger-side grab handle, a Hurst shifter, and a Delco AM radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and additional aftermarket readouts for the oil pressure and coolant temperature mounted below the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 45K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The replacement 327ci V8 has been upgraded with a performance camshaft, a chrome-finished air cleaner, and Holley valve covers. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Steering is power-assisted; braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.
