OVERVIEW
This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne pickup blends vintage looks with modern conveniences like a JVC sound system, a multi-function rearview mirror, LED lighting, and Dakota Digital gauges. Under the hood, the Chevrolet Camaro IROC-sourced 305ci V8 is upgraded with an MSD ignition system, Billet Specialties valve covers, and ceramic-coated headers. Torque travels to the rear wheels via 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and an Eaton positraction rear end. Finished in two-tone green and white over a black vinyl bucket-seat interior, this custom shortbed C10 is now offered with build documentation, an owner’s manual, and a clear Indiana title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This C10 shortbed Action Line-era pickup from 1972 has reportedly driven about 25K miles since undergoing restoration. It received a fresh coat of two-tone green and pearl white paint in 2015, and the exterior features include an eggcrate grille, halo headlights, dual sideview mirrors, chrome brightwork, LED exterior lighting, and a Flowmaster dual exhaust with chrome tips. A sliding rear window looks out to the cargo area which is protected by a color-matched spray-in bedliner.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Aluminum 20-inch five-spoke Ridler wheels on Accelera Ziota S68 tires sized 245/50 up front and 275/45 in the rear.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The Cheyenne-trimmed cab interior is upholstered with black vinyl bucket seats split by a center console. Complementing tones are carried through to the door panels, carpeting, and floor mats, while the body-colored dash and door panels are accented in woodgrain inlays. Amenities include Vintage Air climate control, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, a delay lighting system, three-point seat belts, a JVC AM/FM/CD sound system, and a Donnelly rear view mirror with compass and temperature readouts.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Dakota Digital gauges deliver vehicle vitals through a digital speedometer and other ancillary readouts. The odometer reads 24K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The fuel-injected 305ci V8 was sourced from a 1985 Chevrolet Camaro IROC and later upgraded with a four-core radiator with a catch can, a Spal 14-inch electric fan, a March Performance serpentine belt system, Billet Specialties polished valve covers, an MSD ignition system, a K&N air filter, a Painless 18-circuit wiring system, a polished Delco 125-amp alternator, and ceramic-coated Doug’s headers. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt 3.42-ratio Eaton positraction rear end.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel. The suspension has been lowered 2.5 inches up front and 2 inches in the rear using Sport Truck Direct springs combined with Doetsch shock absorbers. Handling is assisted by front and rear sway bars, steering is power-assisted, and stopping power comes from power-assisted disc brakes up front and drums in the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes an owner’s manual and over two decades of owner documentation from 2000 through current.
