OVERVIEW
This 1932 Ford Model B has been driven fewer than 1,000 miles since being restored and customized in 2014. It is powered by a Ford 351ci Windsor V8 engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a Pete & Jakes Hot Rod Parts dropped front axle, a tilt steering column, front disc brakes, newer shocks, and a wood bed floor. Finished in blue over a black vinyl interior, this reportedly rust-free Model B is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a California Ownership Certificate.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration in 2014, the steel body and fiberglass fenders were refinished in blue. Features include a chrome front bumper, chrome headlight buckets, a body-color radiator shell insert, a tilt-out windshield frame, a windshield visor, a driver-side mirror, a wood bed floor with black strips, Iron Cross-shaped taillights, a rear roll pan, and accent pinstriping.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
The 14-inch front polished aluminum American Racing wheels are wrapped in Kumho Power Star 758 radial tires; the 15-inch matching rear wheels wear Mastercraft Avenger G/T radials.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual steering, brakes, and windows; a tilt steering column; a three-spoke Grant steering wheel; and a floor-mounted manual shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 160-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and temperature are mounted in a custom panel in the center of the dashboard. The odometer reads 8,194 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a Ford 351ci Windsor V8 engine and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include an aluminum intake with dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors, chrome valve covers, headers, chrome air cleaners, and a polished aluminum treadplate firewall. A new brake master cylinder has been installed and the transmission and rear axle have been recently serviced.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The original frame has been modified to accept a newer Pete and Jakes dropped I-beam solid front axle and a solid rear drive axle mounted with leaf springs and ladder bars. Braking is provided by newer manual front discs and newer rear drums. Newer shocks have been installed. A dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear wheels.
