OVERVIEW
This 1955 Chevrolet two-door hardtop was featured in Southern Rodder magazine and has been with the seller for nine years. It is powered by a rebuilt 498ci Chevrolet big-block V8 engine backed by a rebuilt TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Gear Vendors overdrive unit. Features include power steering, an Art Morrison replacement chassis, an MSD ignition system, an Ididit tilt steering column, a RetroSound AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, power windows, Wilwood disc brakes, and air conditioning. Finished in metallic copper and white over a cream vinyl interior, this Chevrolet is available now and comes with vehicle history documentation, a dyno sheet, copies of the Southern Rodder and Finish magazines in which it was featured, and Manitoba, Canada vehicle registration.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The exterior is finished in metallic copper and white. Features include chrome bumpers with bumper guards, a chrome grille, RainGear windshield wipers, Bel Air side trim, dual mirrors, Packard taillight lenses, and LED exterior lighting.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 17-inch polished aluminum five-spoke Billet Specialties wheels is wrapped in Z-rated Nitto tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The front bench seat, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in cream vinyl. Features include custom-sculpted rear trim and door panels, billet door handles, power windows, a chrome Ididit steering column with an automatic transmission shifter, billet aluminum dashboard trim, a RetroSound AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, air conditioning, power steering, and manual brakes.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A set of gauges from Classic Instruments, including a 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature, is located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 11,000 miles, which the seller believes to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a rebuilt 498ci Chevrolet big-block V8 engine backed by a rebuilt TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Gear Vendors overdrive unit. The 2016 dyno sheet shows output is 520 horsepower and 559 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the engine and transmission were rebuilt 5,400 miles ago. Underhood features include aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake, a four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum air cleaner, a March Performance serpentine belt engine accessory drive system, a set of Ring Brothers billet hood hinges, a Hot Rods By Dean aluminum radiator, and an MSD ignition system. The spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, oil and oil filter, and transmission fluid were changed 50 miles ago.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The original underpinnings have been replaced with a full Art Morrison chassis. Features include chrome tubular front upper and lower control arms, chrome rear control arms, an independent front suspension, and a nine-inch Strange Engineering Positraction rear end. Braking is provided by manual Wilwood discs. A three-inch stainless steel exhaust system exits at the rear. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.

The sale includes vehicle history documentation, a dyno sheet, and copies of the Southern Rodder and Finish magazines in which the car was featured.
