OVERVIEW
This 1947 Ford Deluxe roadster restomod draws power from a Chevrolet Corvette-sourced LT1 V8 paired with a 4L60 four-speed automatic transmission. Its body has been reworked with a two-inch chopped roofline, frenched-in lighting, and shaved door handles. Finished in Anthracite Gray Metallic with a black Haartz retractable top over a stone Ultraleather interior, this roadster is now offered with receipts, door-popper key fobs, and a clear South Carolina title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This steel-bodied street rod was refurbished as part of a frame-off build in 2016 and received a respray in Anthracite Gray Metallic complemented by a black cloth Haartz retractable top with a glass rear window. Additional body treatment includes a two-inch roofline chop, frenched-in headlights and marker lights, shaved door handles, a third brake lamp, and chrome brightwork. Door poppers on the key fobs allow access to the cabin.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome Budnik wheels with radial tires connect this Ford to the road.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with stone-colored Ultraleather bucket seats up front and a matching bench in the rear. The dash was color-matched to the body in Anthracite Gray Metallic. Amenities include floor mats, power windows, a center armrest, cup holders, a Vintage Air HVAC system, a Budnik steering wheel, a tilt column, and a modern audio system with an Alpine amplifier and a six-disc CD changer. Controls for the windshield wipers and power hood vent are located underneath the dash.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The VDO instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and other vehicle vitals. The digital odometer reads 11,842 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The Chevrolet Corvette-sourced LT1 V8 uses electrical equipment from Painless Performance Products. Power is sent to the back wheels via a column-shifted 4L60 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive along with a Ford eight-inch rear end.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping comes from power-assisted disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. The suspension uses Posies rear leaf springs.
