OVERVIEW
This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible is an older cosmetic restoration that comes with a color-matched removable hardtop as well as a white cloth soft top. It is powered by a 327ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Recent mechanical service includes work on the suspension, brakes, and power steering system. Finished in Riverside Red with a white top over a matching red vinyl interior, this C2 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
As part of the restoration process, the body was recoated in its correct Riverside Red (paint code 923). The car comes with a color-matched removable hardtop as well as a white cloth soft top. Features include pop-up headlights and side-mounted exhaust pipes. The selling dealer notes that there are some blemishes in the paint and signs of wear on the top upon closer inspection, but states that the car shows well overall.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Aluminum 15-inch wheels with knock-off caps are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with red vinyl low-back bucket seats, matched to the dash, door panels, and carpeting. Features include a clock, a simulated woodgrain steering wheel, floor mats, and an AM/FM radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 99,331 miles, but the true mileage is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 327ci V8 is fed by a four-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The power steering system was serviced and equipped with new hoses. Chassis work includes the replacement of the front and rear shock absorbers, front stabilizer links, and rear springs. The braking system has a new master cylinder and booster. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.
The selling dealer charges a $200 documentation fee in addition to the price of the car.
