OVERVIEW
This 1972 Chevrolet C10 shortbed fleetside pickup receives torque from a 5.3-liter LS V8 mated to a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and has been upgraded with 20-inch chrome wheels, a Belltech lowered suspension, Vintage Air climate control, Dakota Digital gauges, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in deep yellow patina over a black vinyl interior, this modified C10 is now offered with a clear Georgia title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This C10 shortbed pickup was treated to frame-off restoration under the seller’s ownership and wears a deep yellow body finish with patina and a clear coat. Features include an eggcrate grille, bodyside moldings, tow mirrors, newer chrome bumpers, a camper shell with sliding windows, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome staggered 20-inch wheels are wrapped in tires sized 245/40 up front and 275/45 in the rear.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior of the cab is fitted with a black vinyl bench seat, matched to the dash pad, lap belts, door panels, and newer carpeting. Amenities include a Vintage Air climate control system, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, sound-deadening insulation, and rubber floor mats.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Retro-style Dakota Digital instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 1,389 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The upgraded 5.3-liter LS V8 was installed in summer 2022 and reportedly has accrued 60K miles including mileage in its donor vehicle. It is fed from a Boyd fuel tank underneath the bed with an in-tank pump and newer lines. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a rebuilt rear end with a 3.08 ratio.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The suspension uses Belltech components both front and rear. The chassis and trailing arms were powder coated at the time of restoration, and steering is power-assisted. The braking system has new lines and uses a front disc setup with rear drums. Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
