Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This cosmetically and mechanically refreshed 1976 Ford F150 Ranger XLT is powered by a rebuilt 390ci V8 engine backed by a rebuilt automatic transmission. Features include power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, dual fuel tanks, a factory truck cap, and a JVC AM/FM/cassette stereo. Finished in Bahama Blue and white over a blue vinyl and cloth interior, this F150 is available now and comes from the selling dealer with the original build sheet and a clear Wisconsin title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior was refinished in Bahama Blue (color code I) and white around 2015. Features include chrome bumpers, full-length bodyside trim, wheel well and rocker trim, dual mirrors, amber clearance lights, dual fuel tank access, a color-keyed factory truck cap, and a locking passenger-side storage compartment.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch chrome five-spoke Cragar wheels is wrapped in 235/70 front and 255/70 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The bench seat is upholstered in blue vinyl and cloth. Features include manual windows, power steering, power brakes, a JVC AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, and a column-mounted automatic shifter. The selling dealer states that the interior was restored around 2015.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, alternator, and temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 62,000 miles, which the selling dealer believes to be accurate.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 390ci V8 engine and backed by an automatic transmission, both of which were rebuilt under prior ownership. The selling dealer states that a new Holley four-barrel carburetor and a new battery have been installed. Additionally, the factory air conditioning needs to be serviced. A walk-around video that shows the engine running can be seen below.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Ford truck was factory-equipped with a twin I-beam independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A  full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The truck comes with its original build sheet.

@myerstjm – Do you think it would be drivable back to Alabama ? ...

Absolutely! I've personally driven this truck several hundred miles and it runs and drives excellent down the highway. Of course the roads here in the Midwest can be snow/salt covered at times during these winter months so please keep that in mind - it would be a shame to drive this beautiful truck in those conditions. Thank you very much for your interest and best of luck in the auction!
